• Lead the HR team supporting the 2 key client groups: Commercial and Treat Operation teams. Help guide HR COE owners in the shaping of appropriate and innovative HR solutions for the client groups.• Work as a key member of the Japan leadership team in developing the organization’s vision and HR strategies to support business strategy/goals/initiatives. Translate business strategy and objectives into goals and workforce plan in alignment with business imperatives.• Develop a solid strategic human resource plan to support and drive the needs of the business including attracting, developing and retaining top talent. Identify opportunities for process improvements• Facilitate organizational diagnosis and metrics to drive organizational effectiveness through talent and organizational capabilities and culture. Act as a catalyst for change; guide and direct organizational design, development and change management solutions• Organizational Development: Guide business leaders through transformation efforts, and lead organizational development strategies, and drive organization towards high performance and engagement by facilitating and influencing strategic and functional change. Create a high performance culture, ensuring performance management processes are effectively implemented and performance issues are promptly addressed• Culture and Engagement: Develop a deep understanding of our vision and goals in terms of organizational culture and identify the drivers and leadership required to systematically strengthen our organizational performance. Diagnose individual, team and organization issues and recommend appropriate interventions including conflict resolution, teambuilding, coaching, engagement surveys, etc.. Work with and coach managers to ensure effective resolution of employee relations issues and make recommendations to minimize the re-occurrence of such issues.• Talent Management: Translate Organization and People plan into talent pipelines and talent forecast outcomes. Implement the talent management process and recommend appropriate development and coaching solutions. Implement learning and development initiatives to strengthen line management capability.• Ensure focus on Organizational Design, Leadership Capabilities, hiring and onboarding, and talent management in cooperation with the COE.

• Equipped with a strong HR technical background, the individual needs to possess the flexibility and agility to enjoy a fast paced and dynamic business and be capable of managing multiple demands and priorities
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related field plus a minimum of 15 years of related HR experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong business partnering skills and collaboration across multiple groups and organizational levels (internal and external)
• Proven ability to develop HR staff and lead teams in a matrix environment
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required.
• Proven ability to have a hands-on approach while maintaining a strategic mindset.
• Solution oriented, looking beyond challenges, with a good eye for detail.
• Strong ability to analyze complex issues and recommend and implement practical solutions.
• An international mindset – culturally aware, flexible and pragmatic
• Requires the ability to perform in an environment of ambiguity and change.
• Must demonstrate a high level of autonomy to manage and navigate multiple ongoing issues and complex employee relations matters with minimum supervision and with excellent execution.
• Experience influencing without authority, preferably in a matrixed organization
• Ability to communicate complex information in an understandable, organized, concise manner. Ability to organize detailed data into information, communicate the business story, and explain data for varying audiences
• Ability to gain trust, respect, and support through business knowledge and functional competence
• Familiar with Workday, IT savvy with good knowledge in local employment law.
• Willingness to travel within and outside of India.
• Demonstrated ability to grow as the job expands
