As a HR Coordinator, reporting directly to the General Manager of a food manufacturing and distribution business, you will be responsible for independently managing and expanding the HR function within the company. This full-time, permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to learn, influence and develop HR practices across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
... - Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring all new employees are effectively onboarded and exiting employees are smoothly offboarded.
- Training Coordination: Oversee and coordinate essential training activities, including general policies, WHS, and Food Safety.
- HRIS Management: Administer the company’s HR system (Employment Hero) efficiently.
- Payroll Contribution: Approve timesheets and leave requests, supporting the payroll function.
- Employee Enrichment: Organise and manage professional development programs, social club activities, Christmas parties, and company-wide meetings.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with various teams including WHS, Safety, and Quality to ensure cohesive operations and have strong stakeholder management.
Requirements
- A minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources or Business.
- 2 years of experience in the HR field, preferably with experience across recruitment and onboarding.
- Australian Residency or eligibility to work unrestricted full time.
- High degree of emotional intelligence and a drive to contribute to the workplace culture of employees.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
- A commitment to Work, Health & Safety in everything that is done
- Good problem solving skills and creative thinking.
- Strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft office applications (experience with Employment Hero is also desired)
- Knowledge/understanding of industry awards, current pay rates and industry trends surrounding non-monetary benefits.
