Senior Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Dorset
Salary: £25,015.20 - £27,302.30 (FTE £29,120.00 - £31,782.40)
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, Term-Time Only
Are you passionate about supporting young people with additional learning needs? We're looking for a dedicated Senior Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and help students succeed both in and out of the classroom. If you're committed to making a real difference, this role is perfect for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to help students achieve their learning goals and personal development milestones.
- Assist in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with students, ensuring they feel safe and engaged in their education.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid their growth.
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding and student welfare in line with school policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or 4 and above).
- Previous experience with SEN, SLD/PMLD, ADHD, and ASD is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience managing challenging behaviours and promoting an inclusive learning environment.
