Role Overview:
We are looking for a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to become part of this enthusiastic team. The chosen candidate will significantly support their teaching staff and enrich the educational experiences of the students. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons, ensuring comprehensive student support.
- Collaborate with teachers to offer targeted assistance to individuals and small groups, including those with special educational needs.
- Lead classroom activities and manage the environment in the teacher's absence.
- Support the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback and reports as needed.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, promoting high standards of behaviour and engagement.
- Engage in professional development opportunities and contribute to the broader school community.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a school setting, preferably within the primary or secondary phase.
- Strong understanding of the curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
- A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
- Full driver's license and access to a vehicle due to the school's location.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working with students with special educational needs.
- First Aid qualification.
