We are seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for schools in and around Preston to provide support to teachers and students in KS3 and KS4. This role offers a pay rate between £15-£18 per hour, based on your experience, qualifications, and teaching skills.
In this role, you will support teachers and enhance the learning experience for students. You will play a key role in ensuring that students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities:
- Reading, writing and SPAG support.
- Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
- Develop a supportive relationship with the child that promotes self esteem and confidence.
- To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
- To liaise with the Teacher and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the child.
- To provide the whole class, small groups and 1:1 support.
- Monitor and maintain records of the pupils progress.
- To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
- Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school premises.
Requirements:
- Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students.
- Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
- Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
- TA qualified.
