If so, we’d love to hear from you! Our client, a leader in designing, manufacturing, and servicing oilfield equipment, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join their maintenance team.
This role involves performing preventive maintenance, equipment overhauls, and routine servicing, as well as installing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems.
Position: Contract to hire (with the intention of converting the right individual within 3 months)
Hours: Monday to Friday - 7am to 3:30pm, with potential overtime in the afternoon and weekends
Environment: Non-unionized
Wage: $40 to $50 per hour (range based on experience and certification)

Responsibilities
What does a normal day include?
- Maintain and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues in heavy equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and equipment overhauls.
- Document repair work and submit detailed service reports.
- Adhere to safety and operational protocols, ensuring safe equipment operation.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve issues efficiently.
- Testing and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
- Provide training and mentoring of any mechanical apprentice under his supervision
- Responsible for the installations of hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems
- Responsible for troubleshooting and service of equipment in need of repair
- May be required to design and improve specific mechanical functions
Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Valid Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician certification.
- 5+ years of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulics, and electrical issues.
- Able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted as well as crouch, bend, and maneuver into areas to complete work.
- Have your own basic toolbox that you'd be able to leave on site.
