Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement safety policies and deliver training to ensure adherence to corporate and governmental safety standards.
Work closely with the Corporate Health & Safety team to promote a culture of engagement and continuous learning.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis to drive proactive safety program improvements.
Lead site audits to ensure compliance with legislative and corporate requirements, recommending areas for improvement.
Provide guidance on incident investigations, coaching supervisors to create effective reports with strong corrective actions.
Build relationships with local agencies and expand knowledge within the dairy/food industry.
Review hazards and lead the development of training and safety measures to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
A degree or diploma in Health and Safety (or equivalent experience). CRSP designation is an asset.
3-5 years of leadership experience in Health & Safety within a medium to large organization.
Deep knowledge of Ontario’s provincial regulations, CSA standards, and ISO 45001.
Proven experience in HOP, coaching, and delivering training in safety practices.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, from senior leadership to frontline workers.
Strong understanding of operational learning methodologies, including learning from both incidents and normal operations.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Willingness to travel to Ontario sites as needed.
