Responsibilities
Duties for the Health and Safety Administrator include;
•Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and provide management summaries for action
planning
•Update the employer on new Health and Safety policies to keep everyone informed
•Review/revise the company’s health and safety manual
•Assist with accident and incident investigations and ensure notes are validated, approved, and filed
•Review all injuries, near misses, and hazards. Work with the Manager to create corrective actions
•Oversee recruitment, selection, and orientation, including job postings, interviews, references, hiring, and payroll
documents
•Make sure all employee documents are completed correctly, both on paper and electronically. File them and process
them through payroll as required
Qualifications
•Minimum of 2 years experience in a human resources administrative role
•Ability to multitask and prioritize work load
•Strong organization and time management skills
•The ability to use Microsoft Office and learn new company programs.
•High level of self motivation and initiative
•Able to communicate competently and effectively
•Health and Safety experience, is an asset
•Knowledge of the construction industry, is an asset
•Experience with the COR accreditation process an asset
