About the Care Leavers and Young People Seeking Asylum Team:
This specialized team works to ensure care leavers and young asylum seekers have the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to transition successfully into adulthood. As the Head of Service, you will:
Provide strategic leadership, ensuring high-quality support and outcomes for care leavers and young asylum seekers.
Develop and implement innovative services tailored to the unique needs of this group.
Oversee case management and support plans to promote independence, safety, and well-being.
Collaborate with multi-agency partners to secure housing, education, employment, and mental health resources.
Drive policy development and service improvement in line with statutory requirements.
Mentor and support your team to achieve excellence in their practice.
What You Bring:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Social Worker.
Current registration with Social Care England.
Proven leadership experience in social care, particularly with care leavers or asylum seekers.
A strong understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding policies, and best practices.
Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
