Job Overview:
The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing the legal and compliance operations of the organization. This individual will provide legal advice on a range of corporate matters, manage risk exposure, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and oversee legal operations related to business activities, including contract management, dispute resolution, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, commercial contracts, and day-to-day business operations, consumer complaints, regulatory, advertising law.

• Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and legal standards.
• Compliance Oversight: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies across the organization.
• Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks, mitigate exposure, and advise senior management on risk management strategies.
• Dispute Resolution: Oversee litigation and other dispute resolution processes, ensuring the company’s interests are protected and minimizing potential liabilities.
• Corporate Governance: Support senior leadership in governance matters, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments (e.g., HR, Finance, and Operations) to provide legal support for business decisions and activities.
• Training & Development: Provide legal training and guidance to staff on relevant legal matters, including compliance, contracts, and ethical practices.
• Vendor & Third-Party Relations: Manage legal matters relating to vendor agreements, partnerships, and third-party relationships.
• External Counsel Liaison: Manage relationships with external legal advisors and consultants, ensuring the cost-effective and efficient use of external resources.
Job Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law. Advanced legal qualifications (e.g., LLM) are a plus.
• Experience: At least 8 years of experience in a corporate legal role, with a mix of in-house and law firm experience.
• Industry Experience: Experience in consumer or hospitality is highly preferred.
Skills:
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.

• Knowledge of corporate law, commercial contracts, and compliance regulations.

• Fluent in English and Mandarin.
