Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:• Ability to lead a team to execute high-quality, sustainable outcomes in line with the company's standards. Results-driven and performance oriented, demonstrates a clear sense of accountability and ownership.• Together with Senior Commercial leaders of Japan, establish, model, and drive strategic objectives to maximize new business opportunities and profitability.• Oversight of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly financial forecasts.• Responsible for annual audit. Provide commercial teams financial consulting on key strategic initiatives.• Part of Senior Finance Leadership team responsible for helping to identify and implement key initiatives within the global finance organization.• Understand all key financial metrics (Net Sales, Margin, EBITDA, DSO, DIO, etc.) and manage trade-offs to maximize profitability and liquidity.• Skillfully and regularly engage in transparent and constructive conversations across all functions to advance the business, build relationships and strengthen the culture.• Partner with Finance senior leadership and Commercial teams to identify additional revenue streams and/or margin improvement opportunities.• Identify requirements and further develop methods for advanced budgeting, forecasting and performance tracking.• Oversight of AR team. Provide leadership to management team to ensure there is clarity on commercial objectives and financial objectives to maximize revenue while minimizing risk.• Maintain strong relationships with Senior Management at Headquarters to ensure Japan organization is implementing global standards and processes consistent with corporate guidance.• Develop processes and tools to continually improve forecast accuracy; including financial deep dives to validate actual results, analysis of key financial drivers and understanding of key business trends.• Lead, inspire, develop, and manage a group of high functioning finance professionals to perform at the highest level and support world-class brands. Ensure organizational efficiency through collaboration, training, and development of the internal teams.• Perform other related responsibilities as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
• Proven track record of establishing strategic objectives and delivering world class results.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and Japanese statutory accounting with ability to apply principles to standard business practices.
• Proficiency in the use of contemporary analytical tools (Oracle EBS, Business Objects, DOMO, etc.) as well as traditional tools (Microsoft Office - Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint) and advanced data retrieval techniques in a disparate system environment.
• Proven ability to operate and influence cross functionally, join data from various sources and develop creative and innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to make sound judgments in areas of responsibility to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk for the company.
• Excellent in both Japanese and English written and verbal form with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Confident in presentation skills; Ability to effectively present financial information from multiple sources in a concise and clear manner.
