The firm offers a collaborative and supportive work environment.Role & ResponsibilitiesAs Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the overall financial health and strategic direction of the firm. You will lead a team of five finance professionals, guiding them in their daily tasks while providing strategic financial advice to the firm's leadership. You will play a key role in shaping the firm’s financial future and ensuring sustainable growth.Main tasks include- Lead the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.- Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure the firm's financial stability.- Oversee accounts receivable management and collections.- Manage tax compliance in conjunction with external tax advisors.- Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to the leadership team.- Develop and maintain financial department manuals and procedures.- Develop and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.Requirements- Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role within a medium-sized company.- Proven experience in financial accounting, management accounting, and financial reporting.- Expert knowledge of Japanese accounting standards and tax regulations.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in Japanese and English (business level proficiency required).- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field; professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, equivalent) are preferred.- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and financial software is essential.
