Roles & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Head at company Industrial Castings will be overseeing the maintenance of critical machinery, managing a skilled team, strategizing preventive, and predictive maintenance plans, optimizing equipment uptime, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production. Effective leadership, technical acumen, and the ability to problem-solve in high-pressure scenarios are central to excelling in this role.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
- Formulate and implement a proactive maintenance strategy tailored for the precision casting equipment used in industrial operations, ensuring maximum uptime and equipment longevity.
- Lead the maintenance teams across mechanical, electrical, and specialized equipment domains. Ensure ongoing training to keep the team updated with the latest casting technologies and maintenance techniques.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of casting machinery, from procurement, installation, routine maintenance, to eventual decommissioning or upgrade, ensuring optimal performance throughout.
- Implement and manage predictive maintenance systems, utilizing advanced diagnostics to prevent unplanned downtimes in our casting operations.
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for routine tasks, technological upgrades, and unforeseen repairs in the casting operations.
- Introduce and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance department, driving initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability in the casting processes.

- Build and maintain relationships with equipment suppliers, service providers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth maintenance operations and procurement of parts specific to our casting machinery.
- Ensure meticulous documentation of all maintenance activities, machinery histories, and performance metrics.
- Report on key KPIs to senior management and recommend strategic improvements for the casting operations.
- Develop and regularly review emergency response protocols for equipment malfunctions or failures, ensuring minimum disruption to the casting production schedules.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education and Certifications:
- B. Tech / B.E in mechanical engineering, electrical, automobile engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of proven work experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of production processes preferably in the industrial casting industry.
- Experience in performing root cause analysis where downtime was minimized, and processes were optimized.
Technical / Functional Expertise & other competencies:
- In depth understanding of the industrial castings business, the manufacturing processes and related procedures and policies.
- Comprehensive understanding of static and rotary equipment (mechanical and electrical) relevant to industrial castings manufacturing.
- Should have good project management skills and basic financial knowledge to manage maintenance budgets and prioritize spending effectively, sourcing spare parts efficiently, etc.
