About the Role
As a key member of our Group Finance Office, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Department and Group CFO to manage and review Group's business portfolio. This pivotal role offers extensive exposure to senior management and cross-departmental teams, providing unparalleled opportunities for career advancement and personal growth. Reporting to the VP of BD for the region, you will research and assess possible Business Development opportunities. You analyze the competitors and market trends, and maintain a database of BD opportunities, market statistics, partners and competitors. You will carry out the preliminary ground research, reality checks and due diligence on the BD activities. In your role, you will create the financial models or perform financial analysis. You will also have to prepare business proposals, presentation and regular BD updates to management; prepare the bid/offer and the transactional documents to the management team and the consultants. Your responsibilities will extend to providing data analysis support for portfolio performance reviews, including the review of financial models and investigation into trends and observations to uncover underlying factors. As part of a dynamic team, you may also assist in various projects and reviews within the department as needed, contributing to the collective goals of enhancing financial processes and strategic decision-making across the organization. skills and experience required
To excel in this role, you should possess a recognized university degree, preferably in Accountancy, IT/Analytics, Banking/Finance, or Economics. You must bring at least 3 years of hands-on experience in financial analysis, financial modelling and data management, with a strong proficiency in tools such as Power BI and Snowflake for designing insightful dashboards and conducting financial valuations. Expertise in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Knowledge of Business Development processes, supply chain dynamics, or maritime industries would be advantageous. You should demonstrate exceptional analytical prowess, logical reasoning abilities, and clear communication skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. A proactive and adaptable mindset, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, will ensure success in this dynamic role.
