General Supervisor
Location: Bern

Your Tasks

• Overseeing daily laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations and state requirements.
• Assisting the Laboratory Director to:

1. supervise and manage the laboratory team, providing training and mentoring.
2. optimize workflows and maintain rigorous quality control procedures.

• Reviewing data, issue accurate test reports in a timely manner, and manage the LIMS system.
• Resolving technical problems related to test performance.
• Maintaining accurate records of test results, quality control activities, and personnel competency assessments.
• Ensuring the laboratory team follows proper biosafety and infection control protocols.
• Overseeing the proper maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Handling client information confidentially.
• In the absence of the Laboratory Director, managing all laboratory procedures and reporting.

Your Experience

You have:

• a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field from an accredited institution is required
• Proficiency in conducting and supervising clinical laboratory tests.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards for diagnostic laboratories.
• Proficiency in using LIMS and various laboratory instruments, and ability to analyze scientific data, identify trends, and implement quality improvements.
• Ability to take initiative, work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in French OR German; English B1 minimum required.
