The front-end web developer leads the development of compelling and relevant web site design structures. They gather requirements, design and structure layouts and test
accessibility and usability to deliver desired results. They are experienced in translating needs to conceptual models to structured designs to completed and delivered
components. Front-end developers work to develop and deliver visual and interactive web site design elements that attract visitors, deliver desired outcomes and increase
interaction and engagement.
Experience:
•At least five years of hands-on experience in large, complex environments designing, building, operating, maintaining, and securing enterprise-class solutions
•At least three years of progressive experience in designing, building and maintaining user interfaces and user experiences for web:
Required Skills
•Skills sought in a successful candidate include:
•Deep expertise in translating wireframes and creative concepts into developed and implemented components that faithfully represent intended design
•Extensive experience designing components, blocks and templates that seamlessly integrate into coherent, structured and well-designed pages
•Excellent graphic design skills and demonstrated ability to create and bring to fruition effective, coherent and accessible web site designs
•Experience with front-end development languages and elements including HTML, JS, JS frameworks, CSS
•Experience in developing sites hosted on leading DXP/CMS systems
•Experience with Drupal 10, Drupal multisite and Acquia Site Studio is highly desirable
•Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including excellent active listening skills
•Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
•Experience working in an agile mode of operations
•Experience managing work in Microsoft Azure DevOps
•Higher education or public sector experience is highly desirable

•Develop front-end elements, design components and templates for web applications and websites
•Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness and optimization of web properties

•Ensuring website designs comply with organizational brand standards and meet AODA requirements
•Support the development of test cases and guidance to support functional testing and user acceptance of developed components

Qualifications
Education
•A three-year degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Continued education in Information Technology or equivalent experience is required
