Job Description:
As a Non-Caseholding Social Worker in our Front Door Team, you will be responsible for conducting initial assessments and providing expert advice and guidance to service users and professionals. You will play a key role in triaging referrals, ensuring that individuals receive the right support at the right time, and facilitating access to appropriate services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting timely and comprehensive initial assessments.
- Providing expert advice and support to service users and professionals.
- Triaging referrals to determine appropriate pathways and interventions.
- Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure coordinated responses.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and decisions.
- Participating in strategy discussions and multi-agency meetings as needed.
- Keeping informed about best practices, policies, and legal requirements in social work.
- Supporting the continuous improvement of service delivery within the team.
Requirements:
- A degree in Social Work (or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- Proven experience in social work, preferably in a front door or assessment team.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
