The FP&A Manager will manage financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes, providing actionable insights and ensuring alignment with regional goals. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, including commercial, supply chain, and regional finance teams, to optimize financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Global Planning System (GPS)
- Support the Senior FP&A Manager in preparing monthly forecasts for the Profit & Loss (P&L) Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement using the Indirect Method.
- Collaborate with Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Controller, and Supply Points to update Gross Sales, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and SKU-level sales volumes.
- Analyze Net Sales Variance, SKU/Brand P&L, and ROP Bridge data.
- Report financials for Innovation & Renovation (Inno/Reno) activities and Advertising & Promotion (A&P) spend.
- Update templates for the South East Asia (SEA) team, including quarterly hedging requests and Targetik submissions.
2. Monthly Actual Closing & Reporting
- Analyze and explain variances between actual results and GPS, assisting decision-making with the General Manager (GM) and Finance Director (FD).
- Ensure alignment of actual results with forecasts, providing detailed variance explanations.
3. Productivity Projects
- Track and report on Market Business Unit (MBU) productivity initiatives and P&L efficiency projects monthly.
- Manage business cases for productivity projects, including PRGM (Profit and Revenue Growth Management), supply chain cost improvements, and optimization of Advertising & Marketing Spend.
4. Cost of Goods (COG) & Variance Management
- Validate and update Standard Cost Prices (SCP) and Transfer Prices (TP) for all SKUs.
- Liaise with Operations Finance Controllers (Ops FC) to resolve variances between planned and actual SCP.
- Monitor and validate Purchase Price Variances (PPV) and forecast impacts of stock revaluation.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain (SC) Controller to manage forex hedging values and stock write-offs.
5. Marketing & Advertising Expense Management
- Monitor monthly over- or under-spend in Marketing & Advertising budgets.
- Provide guidance to the commercial team on budget clarifications and expense management.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A or Business Partnering within FMCG or multinational environments.
- Strong analytical and technical skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and deliver results.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and influence decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- High level of commercial acumen and logical thinking.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW).
