Randstad has a reputable client in Scarborough who is seeking a safety conscious Counterbalance Forklift operator for a fast paced coating facility.
Successful candidates will have 3+ experience operating PROPANE AND ELECTIRC COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFTS and a VALID LICENSE.
EXPERIENCE WITH MOVING HEAVY STEEL AND METAL PRODUCTS.
Candidates who have worked in a "yard" or "metal Industry" type of role would fit this position nicely.
Candidates MUST be TOTALLY comfortable driving backwards on the forklift, and have a good balance between precision and speed.
The environment gets hot and can be loud.

Pay: $21/hr
THERE ARE TWO SHIFTS AVAILABLE currently, days and afternoons.
Shift times:
Days - Monday to Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Afternoons - Monday to Friday 3:30pm - 12:00 midnight

Responsibilities
• Maneuver up to three stacked pallets with gaylords on them full of random electronics materials around the facility
• Unload gaylords from trucks delivering inbound shipments
• Load processed materials into trucks for outbound shipments
• Move product within plant using forklifts
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Clean and maintain a safe working area ensuring that Health and Safety processes and procedures are met
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, treating all co-workers and managers with respect
• Preform basic general labour duties duties as assigned my management
• Arrive 15 mins ahead of shift start time every day to ensure you are ready to work at start time
• Report all planned absences at least 3 days ahead of time
Qualifications
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to drive backwards with forklift
* Comfortable working on hot and loud environments
• Ability to carry and lift up to 80lbs with assistance, and 50lbs unaided
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or more daily
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Have a valid Forklift license
• Ability to maintain an acceptable attendance and punctuality record
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Ability to enhance the company culture and maintain a positive attitude
