The Food Scientist will apply scientific principles and extensive expertise in food research and product development to contribute to the expansion of this thriving food manufacturing business.
Advantages
• $72,000 to $77,000
• Monday - Friday Daytime hours

Responsibilities
Collaborating in tandem with the R&D Chef, the Food Scientist:
- Explores new ingredients and conducts research on food products
- Enhances product quality or cost efficiency by adjusting the formulation of existing products
- Creates specifications for food products, processes, and/or packaging
- Investigates methods to enhance the quality of foods, considering aspects like flavor, color, texture, nutritional value, and the physical, chemical, and microbiological composition of foods
- Conducts testing on new products and devises processing methods for the facility
- Executes product scale-up and oversees the commissioning of new products
Qualifications
- Degree in food science or a related science field
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the food industry
- Expertise in product/process development, ingredient research, and product formulation
- Proficient in specification development and analytical measurements
- Experience in scale-up and commercialization processes
- Robust knowledge of food science and fundamentals in food manufacturing
- Capable of rapidly translating conceptual ideas into market-ready products within a dynamic business environment
- Desirable experience in dressing manufacturing
