key responsibilities
The role consists of two main components: project work and operational support.
Project Work:
- Support in the Segregation of Duties analysis
- Transfer of operational tasks from the Finance department to the Operations department
- Documentation of processes
- Support in the implementation of E-invoicing
- Assist in the modernization and digitalization of the Finance department
- Propose improvements to internal controls
- Support in preparing internal audit missions
- Analyze and make proposals to reduce manual entries
Operational Support:
- Learn operational tasks such as reconciliation and payments
- Document current processes
- Propose process improvements
- Act as a back-up in case of sickness or holidays of staff
qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, or a similar qualification.
Language skills:
- Dutch: Good knowledge
- French: Fluent
- English: Fluent
Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
Technical Skills:
- Accounting knowledge is mandatory
- Strong MS Office skills (Excel and Access)
- Knowledge of accounting tools and AP automation is a plus
Soft Skills:
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team spirit and collaboration
- Risk awareness and organizational sensitivity
- Autonomy and the ability to solve problems
