Must have:
- Hardships/ Financial Assistance Experience (Mortgage or Asset Finance)
- Sound knowledge and demonstrated understanding of current ASIC Debt Collections Guidelines, NCCP, Privacy Act, APRA APS 220 and COBCOP as well as IDR and EDR processes.

Your new role
Your focus will be to respond to the requests for assistance from clients who are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to meet the contractual obligations on their Home Loan.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Receive, review and assess applications for financial hardship assistance, including any supporting documentation.
- Assess and understand the client's situation and offer a financial solution (e.g. repayment plans or pauses) appropriate for the client's circumstances.
- Assess and action financial hardship assistance applications within regulatory guidelines, policy and procedure
- Respond to client enquiries and confirm financial hardship assistance solutions in writing.
- Recognise and implement loss mitigation strategies and work out resolutions where appropriate.
- Direct liaison with borrowers, panel solicitors, valuers, mortgage insurers, and Originators/Introducers.
- Achievement of monthly arrears target figures.
Your skills and experience
- Minimum 1-2 years in financial hardship assistance experience (Mortgage or Asset Finance experience is desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to meet set arrears targets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A thorough understanding of the hardship application process.
- Experience in a role that is multi-tasked and requires quick and decisive action
- Tech savvy
- Ability to work as part of a team.
