Responsibilities
- Prepare internal financial statements for the company.
- Coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor various budgets.
- Optimize and supervise the month-end closing process, prepare monthly financial statements, and analyze budget variances.
- Supervise accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage liquidity and maintain current liquidity forecasts.
- Oversee the accounting and financial aspects of implementing new IT tools, making recommendations for optimal resource and information systems management.
- Identify potential subsidies to enhance company operations.
- Collaborate in developing financial performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on key performance indicators.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls, policies, and processes, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures based on best accounting practices to ensure effective departmental management.
- Serve as the primary contact for suppliers, banks, and other third parties.
- Manage human resources functions, including CNESST, mutual prevention, and recruitment, to support organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Required for this position:
- CPA designation
- 2 to 5 years experience
- Bilingualism required, both written and spoken (French/English)
- Experience in team management
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Great Plains an asset.
