About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Manager. This role will involve tasks such as purchase & demand planning, operations, reporting, financial analysis & control:
- Analyze, report, and reconcile revenue across multiple subsidiaries.
- Complete month-end tasks: journal entries, general ledger, and fixed asset reconciliation.
- Detailed analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L items.
- Ensure accuracy of financial documentation and support.
- Implement and modify accounting control procedures.
- Record monthly income and cost of revenues.
- Create net book value reports and roll forward schedules.
- Coordinate activities of clerical staff on a temporary/project basis.
- Maintain electronic and physical work files.
- Balance settlement receivables/liabilities and ensure revenue accuracy.
- Evaluate accounting information per FASB standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments for financial reporting.
- Develop and modify spreadsheets/procedures with leadership approval.
- Adjust settlement transactions with management.
- Prepare and present financial data, perform cost analysis, and statutory audits
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function in stock accounting, inventory and purchasing would be ideal but not mandatory:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related
- 2-4 years working experience
- CA/CPA qualified or part qualified
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding of GAAP is advantageous
- Demonstrated working knowledge of FASB and financial accounting standards is advantageous
- Familiarity working with large ERP systems - Reckon would be advantageous but not mandatory
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Benefits
- 6 months fixed term contract and subject to permanency - open to someone with short notice period
- $90,000 - $110,000 + Super (based on skill set)
