Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established and renowned growing technology organization, my client is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team due to remarkable growth. This is a 3 month temporary role and subject to permanency based in Macquarie Park.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to a supportive and nurturing Manager. This role will involve tasks such as:
... - Prepares and presents financial data, performs ad-hoc searches and reports, cost analysis, period analytics, statutory audits, and other projects as directed.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment when analyzing, reporting, and reconciling all revenue generated and maintaining fixed assets in accounting and fixed asset software systems across multiple subsidiaries.
- Completes month end tasks, including, but not limited to, verification of data and supporting schedules, preparation and posting of journal entries, reconciliation and balancing of general ledger and fixed asset sub ledger accounts
- Reviews and performs detailed analysis of the Balance Sheet and P&L items
- Responsible for assessing internal and external documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Responsible for recording monthly income and cost of revenues as required.
- Responsible for creating net book value reports and monthly roll forward schedules.
- Responsible for maintaining electronic and physical work files, other databases, and projects assigned by management; ensures that files are current and accessible to other personnel in the department.
- Evaluates accounting information to determine appropriate accrual method per FASB standards.
- Responsible for coordinating with internal cross functional departments tasked to deliver reports used as a basis for financial reporting; verifies report data for completeness and accuracy.
- May establish and modify spreadsheets or procedures subject to review and approval by department leadership.
Ideal Profile
To contribute their valuable knowledge and experience within the Accounting function primarily in stock accounting, inventory and purchasing:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related
- CA/CPA part qualified/fully qualified
- 2-5 years working experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in understanding of GAAP
- Demonstrated working knowledge of FASB and financial accounting standards
- Familiarity working with large ERP systems - Reckon would be advantageous
- Advanced Excel skills
Benefits
- 3 months temporary to permanent position - open to someone with short notice period
- $50 - $64 per hour + Super (Based on experience)
