This role is a newly-created permanent headcount and would report to the General Manager of Finance. There is leadership responsibility for this role as a team of 3 Finance Officers (AP, AR and payroll) would report into the Financial Accountant.
skills & requirements for the job
You must possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, within minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting, in the commercial sector. You should be highly skilled in MS Excel, with a high attention to detail plus strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. In addition, you should possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. As this is a full-time role based in Port Augusta, you need to be living there or be willing to relocate.
