Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Finance Support professional to provide comprehensive strategic and hands-on financial support across our transformation programme. The successful candidate will be integral in ensuring the financial robustness of business cases, supporting programme managers, and delivering accurate and clear reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Programme Support:
- Provide strategic challenge and support across the transformation programme.
- Ensure business cases are robust and programme tracking is clear and accurate.
- Work across multiple programmes to support programme managers in establishing finance support needs and time line planning.
- Deliver strategic financial insights to inform decision-making and drive programme success.
Project Accounting:
- Support the hands-on financial aspects of the programme.
- Pull and utilise data from various sources to inform project impacts and assess the sensitivity of key assumptions.
- Build financial models from the ground up and communicate the information effectively across project and programme reporting lines.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure financial implications of proposals are understood and managed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in strategic financial support and project accounting within a programme/project transformation environment.
- Strong analytic and modelling skills, with the ability to handle complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple programmes and with various stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to plan and prioritise workload effectively.
