The Finance Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of our organization. This position requires a strategic and operational finance leader to manage accounts, ensure compliance, and support the organization's mission through effective financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records in accordance with accounting standards.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare timely financial reports for the board and key stakeholders, providing insights into financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and reporting requirements for the not-for-profit sector.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor ongoing financial performance against the budget.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Provide training and support to non-financial staff on financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification preferred).
- Proven experience in a finance management role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
