Lead the financial operations of a prestigious global luxury brand in Tokyo, developing and implementing key financial strategies in a dynamic and rewarding environment.About the companyOur client is a world-renowned, award-winning designer of luxury accessories and ready-to-wear, with a global presence and a commitment to excellence. They produce a range of high-end products and operate stores in some of the most prestigious cities worldwide.RoleRole & ResponsibilitiesAs Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely maintenance of financial records. You will collaborate closely with our managed service provider (MSP) located outside of Japan to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes. You'll be actively involved in troubleshooting financial issues, improving operational efficiency, and maintaining robust internal controls. You’ll be a key contributor in preparing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and financial reports for global headquarters, reviewing monthly closings and ensuring the accurate recording of all revenue and expenses.Main tasks include-Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.-Collaborate with the MSP and stakeholders to resolve financial operation issues effectively.-Develop and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.-Manage the annual tax filing process in collaboration with external tax professionals.-Prepare comprehensive financial reports for global headquarters and stakeholders.-Support the annual budget preparation and monthly re-forecasting processes.Requirements-Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience.-Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping and/or financial analysis.-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.-Excellent communication skills in Japanese and English (written and spoken English is essential).-Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.-Ability to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.-Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.-Experience with SAP or Hyperion, and professional accounting certifications (e.g., US CPA or JP CPA) are considered a plus.If you are interested in this position and meet the minimum requirements, please apply.
