Responsibilities
-Act as an IFRS subject matter expert and provide guidance on accounting standards (e.g., derivatives, securitization, hedge accounting).
-Lead the design and mapping of business processes and procedures through collaboration with stakeholders.
-Identify, track, and resolve requirements issues during detailed requirement phases.
-Consolidate and prepare comprehensive requirements documentation.
-Develop and recommend performance measurement processes to support business analysis.
-Assist in the creation and execution of implementation plans.
-Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by planning, developing test cases, and executing tests.
-Facilitate information gathering sessions and small to large meetings.
-Conduct research on emerging trends and best practices to ensure the alignment of solutions with business unit strategies.
Qualifications
Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline (Required).
-Advanced degree (Preferred).
-PMP certification (Required).
-Professional designations such as CA, CPA, CGA, CMA, MBA, or CFA (Preferred).
Experience:
-Minimum of 10 years of business analysis experience (Required).
-Proven experience with financial products and application of Canadian & U.S. GAAP, with a focus on IFRS adoption..
Skills:
-Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
-Strong interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.
-Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
-Analytical skills to forecast business trends and project future financial performance (Preferred).
