About the Role:
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a maintenance professional to contribute to a vital public services provider. As a Maintenance Officer, you will manage day-to-day maintenance activities and coordinate contractors across multiple sites, ensuring safe, operational spaces for all staff. Based in Brisbane, you’ll perform regular maintenance checks, oversee essential building services, and assist with fleet management, deliveries, and building operations.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Daily Facility Inspections: Conduct early morning inspections to assess building cleanliness and safety.
- Maintenance Coordination: Oversee and assist contractors, ensuring quality standards are met and safe work practices are followed.
- Fleet Support: Coordinate vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and fleet-related tasks, including odometer readings and damage assessments.
- Operational Maintenance: Perform routine building and grounds upkeep at the Brisbane office and other South East Queensland sites as needed.
- Logistics Coordination: Manage incoming and outgoing deliveries and maintain inventory for building supplies.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will bring strong maintenance and facilities management skills, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and contractors. Key capabilities include:
- Technical Proficiency: Solid skills in building maintenance with the ability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Strong planning abilities, particularly for balancing multiple ongoing tasks.
- Communication Skills: Professional and courteous in interactions with both internal teams and external contractors.
- IT Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn organization-specific systems quickly.
Requirements:
- Open to candidates with practical experience in maintenance (no specific certifications required).
- Criminal history check and conflict of interest disclosure may be required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license for occasional travel to multiple locations.
