Environmental Health Services Manager

Location: Campus East Office, Welwyn Garden City AL8 7PH
Hours: Monday - Friday 37hours per week
Duration: Temp (12 weeks)
Hourly Rate: £30.22-£34.95 per hour (weekly pay)
This new temporary role is being responsible for managing environmental health and safety in the council, creating and maintaining systems and policies to protect the safety and health of employees and the public. The main objectives are to prevent accidents, identify and mitigate potential hazards, and promote a healthy and safe working and living environment.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Environmental Health or approved Degree in Environmental Heath and Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board or equivalent
- To be a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner
- Substantial experience in one or more specialisms in Environmental Health
- Substantial experience of leading services at a managerial level
- High level of knowledge and understanding of relevant service legislation and good practice.
