Leading the implementation of commitments outlined in the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) Report, Commitments Register, and Environmental and Social Action Plan. (ESAP)
Serving as the primary liaison between Lenders, including international banks and export credit agencies (ECAs), and the Project, ensuring transparent and effective communication.
Coordinating closely with relevant regulatory bodies, such as the General Directorate of Highways (KGM), to ensure project compliance with environmental and social requirements.
Leading stakeholder engagement efforts, including managing the Grievance Mechanism and community engagement activities.
Addressing community concerns, informing relevant people in the Project for the resolution, and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
Monitoring and analyzing real-time E&S data to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
Monitoring social impacts of the Project, and reporting on these activities to relevant stakeholders, including lenders, shareholders, and regulatory bodies.
Managing subcontractors and tenants, including Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) contractor, to ensure their adherence to Project’s E&S requirements throughout project phases.
Providing technical guidance and capacity-building activities to subcontractors to ensure understanding and implementation of Project’s E&S requirements.
Conducting regular inspections and audits of subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with ESIA commitments, ESAP requirements, and other E&S standards.
Developing and implementing corrective action plans with subcontractors to address non-compliance issues and ensure continuous improvement in E&S performance.
Preparing and presenting comprehensive E&S performance reports for stakeholders, summarizing progress, compliance status, and any necessary corrective actions.
