This is a one-year fixed-term contract, beginning as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students with diverse abilities and needs.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through ongoing assessments and formal examinations.
• Offer constructive feedback to support students in improving their language skills.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to fit individual learning styles.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create and enhance curriculum resources.
• Maintain accurate and updated records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, encouraging their active involvement in the educational process.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
• An enhanced DBS on the update service is necessary.
• A minimum of 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
• A proven track record of success in teaching at an 11-16 school.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge and passion for the English language and literature.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
• Good organisational skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum.
