We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic English Teacher to work at a wonderful Secondary School based in Bury St Edmunds. This is an exciting opportunity to help students develop their language and literature skills while nurturing a love for reading and writing.

As an English Teacher, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cover a wide range of topics in English, including grammar, literature, creative writing, and comprehension skills.You will help students analyse and interpret literature, building their critical thinking skills through discussion, essays, and projects. You are expected to encourage students' personal growth by fostering a love of reading and a deeper understanding of literature's role in society.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Proven experience teaching English at secondary level.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
A deep enthusiasm for English and a commitment to student success.
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (or planning to apply for one).
Eligibility to work in the UK is mandatory.
