About the role
Your main responsibilities will include the management of proposals, developing and maintaining the estimating database, evaluate contractor tender costs and preparation of tender estimates in liaison with the Engineering and Construction teams. You will be in direct contact with clients to get a robust understanding of requirements and utilise to companies strong engineering teams to assist in preparation and submission of accurate tenders, bids and proposals.
Qualification, Experience and Requirements
- Bachelor of Electrical (or relevant) Engineering qualification
- Broad experience in multidisciplinary Design and Construct and Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Maintenance projects
- A demonstrated background in the complete process of successful estimation, tender and proposal submission
- Ability to manage tender site walkthroughs to liaise with clients and stakeholders to gather detailed information for tender preparation
- Confidence in dealing with suppliers and an understanding of materials, labour and equipment pricing across the national market
- Experience in contract reviews, risk profiling and allocation in accordance with governance profile, tender negotiations, support to executive, BD teams and Operations
- Experience in the Australian resources, water, mining, oil & gas sectors
- High level communication and rapport building skills
- Be located in Adelaide or willing to relocate
