As an EL1 Assistant Director Policy, you will be leading a team that contributes to the shaping of policy as well as designing and implementing work that contributes to an ongoing agency reform.
Day to day, across these divisions, you may be working across …
- Designing system navigation
- Support coordination and streamlining plan management
- Innovating home and living supports
- Home and living policy reform and guidance
- Co-design initiatives and trials
- Shaping the Specialist Disability Accommodation market
- Creating an efficient and stable market for disability supports.
These will be 12-month labour hire contracts, with a strong possibility for renewal. These full-time positions offer a flexible, hybrid work environment These roles are based across Richmond or Geelong, with some in-office time is required.
As this opportunity is with a Federal Agency, candidates must have Australian citizenship.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading a team to develop contemporary and informed policy and strategies.
- Building relationships and engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leading development of policy and corporate documents to a high standard.
- Leading reform projects in line with the wider reform program.
- Managing and providing policy leadership to a team.
The ideal candidate for these roles will demonstrate:
- Policy and team leadership experience
- Experience developing and interpreting policy, analysing data andinformation, preparing and reviewing policy papers, reports, presentations, briefings and correspondence.
- Candidates with an understanding and experience relating to the disability sector will be considered favourably.
