About the EH&S Department at J&J Innovative Medicine R&D Leiden
The EH&S Department at J&J Innovative Medicine plays a pivotal role in implementing the Johnson & Johnson Worldwide EH&S and ISO14001 Management System standards. Collaborating closely with the J&J EH&S network across the Netherlands and neighboring countries, we ensure that EH&S risks are effectively managed and controlled.
They support the entire site in fostering a strong safety culture by building relationships with EH&S representatives, standards owners, subject matter experts, and site management.
Key Responsibilities
As an EH&S Engineer, you will:
· Oversee, develop, and improve EH&S systems, processes, and practices.
· Lead and support the implementation of EH&S standards and systems in your area of expertise.
· Coach and mentor teams of standards owners, subject matter experts, and EH&S representatives.
· Conduct EH&S risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
· Provide EH&S guidance and support for projects within your expertise.
· Participate in internal and external audits and inspections, such as ISO 14001:2015 compliance, J&J EH&S audits, and regulatory agency reviews.
· Contribute to and verify the outcomes of incident investigations.
· Develop and deliver training sessions on EH&S-related topics to enhance awareness and compliance.
