about the job
... - Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and company guidelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee the safety performance of all contractor activities, ensuring adherence to EHS regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide EHS training and guidance to site personnel, contractors, and subcontractors, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate EHS best practices into the project planning and execution phases.
- Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that safety protocols are followed on-site.
- Ensure proper waste management, environmental protection measures, and hazardous materials handling in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct emergency drills and develop response plans for potential incidents such as fire, spills, or injuries.
- Track and report on EHS performance metrics, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Maintain all EHS documentation, including permits, certifications, risk assessments, and compliance reports.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in EHS performance, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices.

skills and experience required
- Degree in HSE, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Construction, Structural).
- NEBOSH qualification.
- 7-10 years of relevant experience.
- Has experience in Data Centre projects.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Independent, resourceful, and a team player.
