large amount of internal space for learning and activities. This school has an inclusive approach with
mixed ability classes and a 40% SEN pupil count. They are on the lookout for a confident TA with
prior SEN or care experience who has the ability to build and develop a productive relationship with a
pupil, providing support with their attainment, personal and emotional development. While you will be
assigned to work with a pupil you will also have the chance to swap out with other TA's to encourage
the child's independence and prevent a velcro learning relationship.
Ideally you will have previous EYFS experience in a setting between 3-5 years of age, pre school or
nursery experience will be valuable as many of the children are still working at lower EYFS range and
require support in their development and learning. Personal care/ reminder to use the toilet etc will be
needed as these children are still learning the school life and routine.
They are currently seeking a TA to support a Reception class Monday - Friday 8:30-1pm daily, The
hourly pay for this role is £13 -£13,50 per hour with review at AWR and April when minimum wage
increases.
Responsibilities
● Preparation of resources and activities for the whole class and 1:1 support.
● Supporting continuous provision areas.
● Developing cognitive and gross motor skills.
● Supporting toilet training.
● Collaborate with classroom teachers to organise appropriate activities.
● Liaise with other professionals such as Teachers, TA, specialist support staff.
● Work closely with other LSAs and support staff.
● Work with classes, small groups and with children on a one to one basis.
● Monitor and track the development of the pupil In question and support personal development
and confidence.
Essential requirements
● Experience of working with early years.
● Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
● Ability to engage with, and build rapport with young people.
● Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
● Have experience with SEN or knowledge learning difficulties.
● TA qualified.
