Randstad are currently looking for Drivers to work at a local authority waste management depot.
Operate a Conwy County Borough Council vehicle to collect nappies and Absorbent Hygiene Products (AHP) waste from households across the county. Follow and complete assigned collection routes while delivering excellent service and adhering to the Council's safe working procedures. Empty the vehicle's contents daily at a designated location. Use the in-cab screen to manage collection rounds and report property-related issues, such as presentation or contamination concerns. Engage professionally with the public and effectively address on-site service issues.

Role: Bulking station recycling services driver
Location: Environmental Depot -Gofer Bulking Station - Abergele, LL22 9SE
Pay Rate: £11.98 ph
Shift Pattern: Full time, Mon - Fri 07:00 - 15:00
Responsibilities:
- Drive assigned collection vehicle (pickup or non-LGV) to collect nappies and clinical waste countywide, loading and unloading at designated locations.
- Collect and empty recycling containers, clinical bins, and sacks along defined routes; distribute information, marketing materials, and replacement containers as needed.
- Return recycling containers to their proper location, clear any spills, and leave a replacement sack at each property.
- Operate single-operator vehicles.
- Follow all safety procedures, risk assessments, and Council policies, including wearing required PPE and uniform.
- Perform daily vehicle checks, report defects, and complete timesheets, logbooks, and tip records.
- Keep vehicle interior and exterior clean, including loading mechanisms.
- Engage positively with service users, offering advice on recycling and waste management.
- Report and resolve route issues promptly.
- Assist in training and inducting new team members.
- Perform other tasks as needed to support departmental operations, including deliveries, missed collections, and litter picking.
Requirements:
- Full B category license
- Candidates must have a full clean manual driving license
- Previous experience of driving a 3.5t vehicle desirable
