Position: Driver Cum Pump Operator (DCPO)
Responsibilities:
Driving and Vehicle Maintenance:
- Drive assigned vehicle, including water or fuel tankers, to various locations as required.
- Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation is up-to-date, including licenses, insurance, and maintenance records.
Pump Operation:
- Operate and control pumps to transfer water, fuel, or other liquids to specified locations.
- Set up, operate, and monitor pumping equipment, ensuring proper flow rates and pressure levels.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on pump equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating vehicles and pump equipment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to vehicle operation and pumping activities.
- Conduct safety checks and report any hazards or incidents promptly.
Loading and Unloading:
- Assist with loading and unloading of liquids, ensuring safe and efficient handling.
- Monitor gauges and flowmeters to ensure correct amounts are being loaded/unloaded.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, fuel usage, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and submit reports on pumping operations and vehicle usage as required.
Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with clients or site personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
Qualifications Required
Educational Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Additional training or certification in vehicle operation and pump systems is advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in operating pump equipment.
- Proven track record of safe and efficient vehicle operation.
