We are seeking a Down Stream Scheduler to support our client, one of Canada's biggest energy management and automation firms, in their Edmonton location. In this role, you will work full-time hours, initially on a 6 month assignment.

Schedule/overtime: Mon to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Advantages

Responsibilities
• Manage communications with Project Managers and Service Offices for customer orders including escalations.
• Execute activities such as production planning (short term), database management, manufacturing capacity and material flow.
• Maintain methods and practices to ensure the most effective communication between planning and production teams. May include the creation of new work policies/procedures
• Ensure resources are used to best effect to meet short and long term objectives and manage priorities
• Provide periodic reports to management
• Monitor delivery delays with internal customers and backlog activity
• Participate in regular meetings with various other manufacturing team functions
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to provide value-added Lean solutions for material flow

• DEC (college diploma) in engineering, supply chain management or business administration with supply chain is an asset
• 3 to 5 years' experience in supply chain management in a manufacturing environment is an asset
• Subject knowledge on electrical power distribution equipment manufacturing is an asset
• Proficiency in the use of computers and advanced knowledge of applications (access, excel)
• English to collaborate with suppliers, customers and partners provincially and internationally)
• Effective communication, facilitation and strong negotiation skills
• Problem-solving skills are required
• Ability to plan and organize effectively, with strong decision-making skills
• Experience in conflict management and resolution
• Must be meticulous with the ability to multi-task
