Responsibilities
-Manage the operational activities in the plant to achieve efficient and effective execution and delivery of results.
-Coordinate production operations across assembly, manufacturing and warehouse/shipping and receiving teams.
-Direct unit supervisors in establishing and maintaining production schedules within established procedures and budgets.
-Plan for operational expansion and scale-up into new and larger facilities.
-Provide leadership and support to direct reports including setting individual objectives, reviewing performance and providing ongoing feedback.
-Manage and coach a team of professionals through sincere and concrete feedback and takes appropriate action when needed.
-Facilitate team cooperation and ensure team leads and supervisors can realize the set objectives and goals.
-Build a culture of safety and continuous improvement to help create a safe and positive work environment for all employees.
-Develop and monitor the relevant KPIs to maintain performance of the assigned area against the set targets and make recommendations for improvement.
-Monitor established performance indicators, including variance reports, production reports, quality reports, and injury reports.
-Ensure regulatory compliance with safety rules and regulations to eliminate incidents and injuries.
-Identify and implement improvements to internal systems, processes and practices to improve & optimize effectiveness and efficiency of the processes.
Qualifications
-Degree in Engineering, Business or Operations.
-10+ yrs experience managing and leading teams in a manufacturing setting (experience at the Director level is preferred).
-An understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
-Experience with 5S, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
-A deep-rooted knowledge in supply chain and planning of both production and materials.
-Experience in reporting and analytics on key production metrics.
-Strong Leadership skills with experience in coaching and mentoring managers.
-Outstanding communication ability, including negotiation skills and assertiveness.
-Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills, ability to multi-task and execute.
-Solid computer skills (Excel, ERP experience an advantage).
