Our client, an innovative, evolving, and fast-paced global supply planning organization, is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented, and collaborative Senior Supply Planner (Direct Imports) to join our expanding team. The Senior Supply Planner (Direct Imports) executes the end-to-end process with the goal of ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet all our direct import requirements. The Senior Supply Planner (Direct Imports) will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the make-to-order process (FOB / DDP / POELA) to meet retailer order fulfillment requirements.

Responsibilities
Here are some of the exciting things you’ll do:
Plan and review international and US business requirements for direct imports
Review and manage customer orders
Communicate and ensure strategic customer-specific requirements
Place and administer purchase orders with suppliers
Liaise between suppliers, international sales teams, supply chain, project management, and engineering teams
Maintain shipping and payment schedules
Prepare all necessary shipping documents for international customers
Review letters of credit from international and US customers
Write and communicate verbally with sales, imports, and finance departments
Manage weeks of supply (WOS) in collaboration with the supply chain team to support 100% perfect order fulfillment
Manage the system for handling WOS, capacity planning, and inventory management in collaboration with IT, US supply chain, and China team
Develop 100% perfect order projections and reports for US direct import and international business segments
Plan opportunity buys, track supplier negotiations, and provide weekly reports
Manage component exposure with the China supply chain, track recovery plans, and provide weekly reports
Qualifications
ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPIM preferred
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a supply chain management and analysis role
Ability to develop and improve business processes, evaluate, and analyze financial and operational viability
Experience at a non-asset-based transportation logistics company preferred
Experience within a consumer goods/retailer organization is an asset
Advanced Microsoft Excel/Office skills required, with exceptional modeling skills in Excel
Experience and knowledge of international shipping documentation and letters of credit
Structured and consistent to maintain the weekly order management process
Ability to learn and navigate new applications quickly and efficiently
Effective organizational skills to manage a diverse workload portfolio
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented to meet deadlines without negatively impacting internal clients
Highly collaborative with the ability to engage and lead discussions in meetings/team settings
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
Determination to solve supply issues to meet customer requirements
Ability to set priorities and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Exceptional customer service focus and skills
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
High-energy, positive attitude
Demonstrated ability to develop and improve business processes, evaluate, and analyze financial and operational viability
Proficiency in English and French
