In the role of Digital Hardware Designer, you will work closely with the development of digital components and subsystems that ensures the correct performance of satellite functions. You will get the chance to both maintain, develop digital electronic systems and make decisions regarding new technologies for the company to engage with.
After you get to know the legacy products, you will work with both maintaining and updating the legacy portfolio. Once you have the overview, you will proceed to work with determining and designing new and innovative systems. In this role, you will get the chance to work with the authority to influence the GomSpace hardware architecture, as you bring life to the GomSpace satellite products of tomorrow. Here, you will be working with prototype development and proof of concept to initiate testing of designs early in the development process.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
• Developing digital electronic systems and subsystems for satellite products
• Working with design specifications, prototype development, and proof of concept
• Working with the digital onboard computer
• Determining new systems for the company and presenting findings to stakeholders
• Working with SDR products especially
about you
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant educational background related to the field, possessing a master’s degree in a field such as electrical engineering or similar. With the right experience, alternative educational backgrounds are possible as well.
You are a skilled candidate familiar with these processes and have good experience within the field. It will be relevant to possess an understanding of areas such as:
• SDR platform
• SoC systems
• Radio receiver design
• RF systems
• Microcontroller architecture
• I/Os in satellites or other embedded systems
As a person you are proactive and not afraid to show initiative when it comes to presenting suggestions for new systems and arguing your case. You are agile and flexible in your approach. You are a team player and are motivated by collaborating with other skilled colleagues. If you find space and space products exciting, don’t hold back.

Your workplace will be at the GomSpace location in Aalborg. In this international environment, you are expected to be fluent in written and spoken English.
