As a Database Administrator (DBA), you will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration and maintenance of databases. Additionally, you will develop solutions, related to databases, by using available tools and technologies. You will also need to provide your support and technical expertise to any database-related problem that may come up! More specifically:
- Design, installation, configuration & maintenance of Databases of various flavors on Premises, Cloud or Hybrid (MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL), implementation of database-related security measures, and conduction of research for new applications on Database technology
- Operation and monitoring of databases as well as development of relevant operations & monitoring techniques
- Development and maintenance of technical documentation is a must in this position. 2nd and 3rd level support services, addressing related incidents and service requests
- Administrative tasks such as promotions on all instances, code changes, recompiles, data changes, cloning, relocation, rename Instances, performance Issues, query optimization, installation of new Instances, changes on the configuration, patching and updates, troubleshooting
- Escalation to Vendors in order to resolve issues, such as bug fix requests
