As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising Siebel databases, ensuring peak performance, security, and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage database design, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to support seamless system integration and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimise Siebel databases, including MS SQL DB, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimisation to improve query performance, response times, and system efficiency.
- Support database configurations for Siebel, ensuring proper integration with Siebel systems hosted on-prem and in cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing solutions to maintain system stability.
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and infrastructure teams to ensure effective database management and system integration.
- Monitor and maintain database health, reviewing logs, and proactively resolving potential issues.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on Siebel database best practices, including capacity planning and disaster recovery.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with expertise in Siebel databases (MS SQL DB).
- Strong experience with database performance tuning, optimisation, and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of Siebel systems hosted on both on-prem and cloud environments.
- Experience with Siebel database configuration, maintenance, and integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools, backup strategies, and security best practices.
- Active NV1 Security Clearance (Negative Vetting 1) is mandatory.
