We are seeking an experienced leader on behalf of our client for the role of Data Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership for data projects within a global organization, managing a team of data engineers, and developing scalable and secure data systems that enable data-driven decision-making.
This role requires both hands-on expertise and a strategic mindset to implement best practices, guide the team, and build data infrastructure that meets the highest standards in the dynamic medical technology sector.

- Lead a team of data engineers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
- Design and implement efficient ETL processes, data workflows, and data infrastructure.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and analysts to develop solutions tailored to organizational needs.
- Optimize the performance of databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
- Introduce new tools and technologies to the organization and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Manage projects, including scope definition, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Promote best practices in data engineering and leadership within a dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Proficiency with enterprise solutions such as MS SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, or PowerBI.
- A minimum of 2 years of managerial experience overseeing technical teams.
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 or higher).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
- Proven success in building data solutions in complex environments.
- Understanding of data governance principles and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in cloud platforms or Big Data technologies.
- Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation using tools like Tableau or Salesforce.
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python) and ETL processes.
- Practical knowledge of molecular biology, genomics, or personalized medicine.
- Experience working in global organizations across multiple time zones.
