about the job
- Handle and coordinate key cyber-security functions such as incident handling, response, vulnerability management, penetration testing, application security, data leakage prevention, and identity/access management.
- Participate in response planning and remediation actions.
- Review existing and proposed system configurations to ensure compliance with security controls and baselines.
- Conduct assessments, evaluate changes, and execute action plans to enhance cyber-security resilience and risk mitigation.
- Design, implement, operate, and maintain security tools and advanced detection solutions with minimal supervision.
- Improve cyber-security operations through process enhancements and stakeholder engagement.
- Lead the enhancement of cyber-security functions through vendor identification, scope of work development, contract review, negotiation, and procurement.
- Develop and communicate enhancement strategies for cyber-security functions using measurable goals, tracking, and reporting.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce security procedures, guidelines, and baselines for IT system users and administration.
- Work with other IT functions to remediate cyber gaps and provide security consultations as needed.
- Assess and propose improvements or solutions for cloud security, implementing security and data protection measures.
- Ensure a strong understanding of API management and application integration methodologies.
- Perform other tasks as directed.
skills and experience required
9 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity. Strong knowledge of emerging technologies like intelligent automation, AI, and machine learning.
Proficient in modern cloud technology and deployment patterns; cloud security certifications (e.g., CCSP, CCSE, AZ 500, GCSA, CompTIA Cloud+) are preferred.
Experience in software development, especially with Python or scripting languages.
Strong understanding of REST API implementation.
Skilled in SIEM and Log Management Solutions; SOAR solutions experience is recommended.
